Last night my sister and I drove to Sandy Hook to see the memorials we have been hearing about. It’s truly moving and a remarkably calming experience….In a little town that is barely two blocks long, the memorials run along two full sides of the intersection. Mourners have carefully placed hundreds of candles, dolls, stuffed bears, on the sidewalks. They’ve hung handmade ornaments Christmas trees, and ribbons with the students names on a banner in front of the river. There are signs large and small from well-wishers everywhere…

Your pictures do a good job of capturing the feel in Newtown, Linda. I’m glad we went. It was so quiet even though there were many people.
